From Idea to Trilogy — How the Ibiza Sisters Came to Life

Life and Writing in Ibiza
I lived in Ibiza for several years — years filled with sunrises, colorful nights, and quiet moments by the sea. That time was full of highs and lows that challenged me, but also made me stronger.
On the island, I found myself again — and the courage to follow my dream of writing.
It was there that I began my career as a professional writer: I wrote for a local island magazine, interviewed fascinating people, and had the opportunity to write the biography of a German entrepreneur who built his business on Ibiza.
Every project helped me grow as a writer and forever changed my perspective on both writing and life.
Stories Written by Life
The years I spent on Ibiza were full of people coming and going — some only briefly, others became a part of my story. These encounters, twists, and emotions were so intense that at some point I thought, “I have to write this down.”
For me, the Ibiza Sisters trilogy is also a form of processing. Much of it is inspired by real experiences, while other parts are fictional. Only those who were truly there at the time know what was reality and what was fiction.
Why I Had to Write This Novel
Writing was not only a creative process for me but also a way to process all my experiences on Ibiza. I wanted to give my readers the feeling of being understood — with all the highs, lows, longings, and hopes that life brings.
Ibiza Sisters is therefore more than just a novel. It is a part of my own story, combined with the desire to inspire others to have the courage to follow their own path.
From an Idea to a Trilogy
Originally, I had planned just a single novel.
But as I was writing, it became clear to me: the story is bigger, it needs more space.
And so the idea for a trilogy was born: three books, three friends, three perspectives — all connected by the magic of Ibiza and the universal themes of friendship, love, and self-discovery.

The Ibiza Sisters trilogy is inspired by real life on the island — full of people, stories, and emotions.
It blends reality and fiction, showing how personal experiences can transform into literature.
